Two places so far, each its own 90 by 60 tile map: the training island and the fishing town on the mainland. The map of Malaysia fills in as you go.

Perhentian Island Pulau Perhentian

Perhentian Island, the training island. Learn the basics, build a boat, sail for the mainland. (Pendekar means warrior.)

You wash up on the south beach of the bigger island. Guru waits a few steps away, with the campfire, the boatyard and the training post close by. The jungle in the middle is where the timber is; crabs walk the sand and monitor lizards keep to the jungle.

Kuala Besut

Kuala Besut, the fishing town where the mainland begins. Trade at the shop, fish the river and the jetty, and sail back to the island whenever you like.

The jetty runs out to a T-shaped head where your boat ties up and the tuna run. The jetty road leads south to the main road, which crosses the Besut river on a bridge; prawns hide along the river banks. South of the main road a lane goes into the forest, where the macaques live.

Kuala Terengganu

Not open yet The coast road south is washed out by the monsoon. It is the next chapter of the story.

The map of Malaysia

Press M or tap the minimap to open the map of Malaysia. It starts unexplored; the first time you set foot somewhere, that place is drawn in and the map icon gets a dot.

Sailing

Your boat sails between the two. On Perhentian it is tied up by the boatyard once you have launched it; in Kuala Besut it waits at the end of the jetty. Click it to board.
